What are AI Credits and how do they work?
AI Credits are the usage unit for all OpenKiti operations. Each response your agent generates consumes credits based on the actual cost of processing (LLM reasoning, embeddings, retrieval). Credits are pooled at the organization level, shared across all your workspaces, and refresh monthly regardless of your billing cycle.
What is the difference between monthly and annual billing?
Annual billing means you pay for the year upfront and get 2 months free (annual price = monthly price × 10). Your AI Credits still refresh every month. For example, on Growth Annual ($490/year), you receive 300k fresh credits each month.
How do agent modes work — Knowledge Only vs Knowledge + Actions?
Knowledge-only agents (Starter plan) answer questions purely from your uploaded documents and website content. Knowledge + Actions agents (Growth and above) can also execute operations through native integrations and API capabilities. Pro plans add custom API connections via OpenAPI or Postman imports.
Is it safe to let AI execute actions on our APIs?
Yes. OpenKiti operates within your existing API security layer. You define which endpoints require human approval, which are read-only, and which can execute automatically. All actions are scoped to the user's active credentials, enforcing your standard backend security rules. Approval flows are built-in for sensitive actions.
Do you store our database records or API payloads?
No. OpenKiti acts as a runtime orchestration gateway. We do not cache or store your backend database records, request payloads, or raw API responses.
What happens if I exceed my monthly credit allowance?
When your credits are exhausted for the month, your agents will pause until credits refresh at the start of the next credit period. You can buy extra credits anytime whenever you need more. Enterprise plans offer custom credit allowances to match your volume.
